Couldn't possibly go so far as to call this a muscle car. However, I have been corresponding with Bob re a dual quad setup (seems like the right thing to do).
As I mentioned to him, the 55 has a 327 with a Edelbrock Performer and quadrajet. The guy I bought the car from wasn't very astute. He doesn't have the slightest idea of what kind of cam it has although sitting at a light it seems to arouse a fair amount of interest. It has headers, a TH400 trans and Ford 9" rearend.
As you can see from the pictures, the Chevy resides in Redstone, CO. Naturally, the driveway looks a little different in white. Wife is upset, seems as though the 55 is in the garage and her Expedition and my Bronco are outside. Oh, well.
The car is pretty straight although the front end is all new thanks to an encounter of the deer kind. It was a thrill to find a new hood and rf fender. All of the other stuff, radiator, grill, etc came from the various high priced leaders (Danchuk, etc.)
Since it is a Colorado car, it has some rust (surprise). Has anyone used POR-15?
Will be in Denver to have the windows replaced as there are not too many shops in Redstone although I found a mechanic in Carbondale that in a previous life was a small block chevy racer in the south. Imagine that. He keeps saying, "We need to get that cam out of that car (What do he mean?)
See you at Bandimere.
